What is the Patriot Guard?  It is the honorable empowerment of people. The PGR allows people from all walks of life, from all employments, from all environments, from all politics, from all religions to come together and try to recognize and honor the love and sacrifice that our military men and women have and are giving us. It is a venue, a platform, a flagline, an accompaniment, a hug and a handshake of love. It is about them and us and the whole makes us more then we could be alone and it keeps them and us from being alone. Its about comrades, brothers and sisters, and shared compassion with survivors, family, relatives, and friends.

Its about people. Everyone who has a heart and loves their brothers and sisters and wish to help honor those who have passed, those who are suffering, those who are surviving. PTSD has no boundaries, no limits, no age, no groups, it is freely spread among everyone with inequality. PTSD has no time limit, no duration, no amount, and no cure. Physical effects and suffering combined with mental debilitation are even in our members who come to honor but also carry the horror of war. The Patriot Guard is so much more then just those who serve, those who suffer, those who pass, it is also those who ride, those who drive, those who survive, those who stand, those who wave and those who cry. The Patriot Guard isn't just Active Duty and Veterans, its all of us, American Patriots.

In our opinion the most active Patriotic Organization in the Country.

Patriot Guard Riders

The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We are probably the largest motorcycle organization in the world with over 400,000 members, and yet, we are not a motorcycle club, nor even a motorcycle organization. We don’t care what you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride a motorcycle. The only prerequisites are have a loving heart and respect.  Patriot Guard activities are composed of Missions and Rides. Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors. We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

On some of our Missions, we accompany the Hero and his or her family for miles, with flags flying on the motorcycles. Here in Southern California, we are averaging 40-50 Missions and Rides a month.  The Patriot Guard Riders is composed of American Legionnaires, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans, Active Duty, Civilians and anyone with a good heart. We call the activities we do “Missions” or Rides, and we conduct ourselves with the respect that should be shown to those who have or will go into harm’s way. Outside of the Patriot Guard Primary Missions, we also participate in Rides such as: Welcome Homes, Departures, “Veteran’s Without Families” where we are the family for the fallen heroes. Additionally, we participate in Patriotic Rides, like Parades, Charities, Wounded Warrior Projects, Wreaths Across America, Civic projects and helping our Heroes and their Families.
